Like Most Things in Life

 

Like most things in life, we always look at the Pros and Cons before we say yes or no to it. When it came to Sprint 0, we did just that and after looking at what we had come up with, the Pros of Sprint 0 surpassed the Cons.

 

Some of our Pros and Cons

·        Helps team to understand the agile ceremonies and gets hands on experience on the sprint. ·        Gives opportunity to the team to inspect and adapt on the plan for future sprints. ·        Team can tweak the engineering process, DOD etc. If needed by the end of ‘Sprint 0’	·        Team’s velocity is not known in sprint 0, so could not accurately plan the sprint goal. ·        Engineering process and SLAs might not be completely documented. ·        Tools and applications for collaboration and communication might not work as expected due to technical issues.

 

At the end, we saw the that the Pros added more value by allowed the team to share their inputs and it created efficiency individually and as a team.
